Reduction in total project time results in a reduction in holding costs due to fast installation of the Ezidek system. Ezidek forms a safe working platform as it is installed reducing requirement for erection of working scaffolds.
Reduction in concrete volume due to innovative design concept which replaces non-structural concrete with polystyrene void formers.
Faster installation due to the Ezidek girder systems capability of spanning 6M+ with minimal propping. This enables a much faster setup than a conventional formwork slab. Following trades can get on with their jobs below almost immediately after the slab is poured - typically 24 hours. At the same time, work can continue unhindered on the floors above. Conventionally installed slabs must retain soffit formwork, framing and props for 28 days to allow slab to cure which limits access for following trades.
Lighter than conventional reinforced slabs or composite steel decking and concrete floor systems enables Ezidek to reduce the burden on construction zones.
Minimal Soffit Formwork. Ezidek’s polystyrene formers provide the soffit for the slab. Minimal centre propping required for spans 3M and over allows following trades to continue within 24 hours of slab placement. Cable trays, ductwork and service pipes can be suspended neatly underneath the slab or within the void formers that form the soffit. Hydraulic penetrations are easily allowed for via the polystyrene void formers.
Meets New Australian Building Codes. The Ezidek slab achieves an insulation rating of R3.5, a sound insulation rating exceeding STC 50 and a fire rating of 120/120/120 with higher fire ratings available by design.
