Promoting environmentally friendly, sustainable living solutions that help create healthy, energy efficient homes - which translates into living spaces that are non-toxic, fun to live in and most of all - comfortable. Today’s technology and a little common sense enable us to create self sufficient, zero-energy homes that don’t rely on external power or water supplies – even in the suburban environment of large cities. The days where “living green” is associated with self- sacrifice and strange looking houses are gone. During construction of our project home in Adelaide, South Australia, we realized the need to simplify the complex world of Green/Sustainable building. It became apparent that core systems such as complete water recycling, fully integrated solar hot water and heating, energy efficient walls and low u-value double glazed windows were unavailable or hard to find on the Australian market – yet readily at hand in Europe or North America. |
